Types of Roof Window

We can source and supply roof windows in a number of configurations including centre pivot frames, white frames, pine frames, oak and timber frames, thin frames, side hung and pitched. We can also supply double and triple glazed options and conservation roof windows.

You can choose pretty much any shape, our most popular being square, rectangular and circular, please speak to us if you have other requirements for shape.

Sizes can be customised exactly to specification, we manufacture products so size is not a problem, there are generally only limitations with glass size, but most residential and commercial applications can be customised to any size.

Roof lights can be installed on flat roofs, pitched roofs or roofs with architectural features and can be made to fit in with existing roof work / structure. Prestige Roof Lanterns can assist with the integration, planning and design aspects.

Our rooflights are durable and designed to last, even under significant weather conditions, long durations of UV exposure or under significant rainfall. If you have any queries about durability under certain applications please call us.

Contemporary Roof Domes

Roof domes are ultimately the opposite of flat rooflights, in that they are a more prominent feature of the home, and are not included in the roof structure. Some people prefer the domed effect, as it allows the most amount of natural light into the property. Roof domes can be a particularly contemporary feature of a modern home because they offer a prominent feature that can work well with a contemporary style.

Flat Roof Lights

Rooflights for flat roofs are effectively the same as flat roof skylights or flat rooflights. At Prestige Roof Lanterns UK, we design, manufacture and deliver high-quality rooflights for flat roofs that allow vast amounts of natural light into your home.

At Prestige Roof Lanterns UK, we manufacture every flat rooflight individually in our joinery, which means that we can provide completely bespoke configurations of rooflights for flat roofs. For example, some people may opt for domed rooflights, while others are looking for completely flat rooflights.

Ultimately, we provide rooflights for flat roofs in all standard and custom sizes. What’s more, we have short lead times and a fast delivery service, making us the perfect rooflight company for high-quality and fast-to-arrive flat rooflights.

Whatever style of rooflight you choose, all of our rooflights for flat roofs are manufactured using high quality hardwood and aluminium, and finished in a high-quality, Farrow and Ball microporous paint. You can also choose the colour of your roof light to match with surrounding features of the property, like the roof trim, existing windows and render.

In addition, all of our rooflights for flat roofs require fairly low levels of maintenance. They can, if required, also come with self-cleaning or solar controlled glass, which only makes the roof lights easier to maintain.

Contemporary Rooflights

At Prestige Roof Lanterns UK, we manufacture a range of contemporary rooflights, also known as skylights and roof windows, which work well in both modern and traditional homes.
Although contemporary rooflights initially seem to be suited to properties with a more modern design, they also look impressive in traditional homes, because ultimately they allow a large amount of natural light into your home.
